About St Dominic Savio Altar Servers (SDSAS)
St Dominic Savio Altar Servers (SDSAS) is a movement which educates the altar servers not only the way to serve well at Mass but also to live the life of an Altar Server as their Patron Saint (St. Dominic Savio) lived. This is achieved by following the principles used by St John Bosco who was the teacher and confessor of St Dominic Savio. He used the 3 pillars: REASON, RELIGION AND LOVING KINDNESS.

Our Objectives
- Altar Serving is a great way for our young people to act 'profession of faith' to the entire parish community
- Help Masses and other services run more smoothly, and they add to the beauty of the church rituals
- They impact the young people to develop a zeal of serving at the altar as priests
- Through exercising fantastic skills learned through communication, team work, perceiving what needs to be done and doing it, punctuality and self-confidence
Membership
- New members should be granted permission by their parents/guardians
- Age limit - seven years old and above
- Anyone in the 5th grade or older is welcome to become a server
- They must have received their First Eucharist
- The member should have received the sacrament of confirmation or attending classes in preparation for the sacrament
- The member should be in a position to communicate both in English and Swahili
